The gifted and talented enrichment program
is available to middle school through high school students. For
several years Precollegiate Programs has coordinated these classes
for school systems across Oklahoma and enjoys a yearly reoccurring
program with the Norman Public Schools middle schools.
Students come to the university campus and participate in
the enrichment classes, typically in the 9 am – 1 pm
time frame. Classes can be two, three or four hours in length.
Depending upon the subject matter, the four-hour time frame
lets students participate in two classes, each two hours long,
or one four-hour class. Classes could also be three hours in
length if that works better for your schedule.
Classes offered in the past include, but are not limited to
the following:
- Advertising
- Architecture
- Aviation
- Drawing/Visual Art
- Engineering
- Film Studies
- Frog Dissection
- Geography
|
- Geology
- Journalism
- Mathematics
- Meteorology
- Poetry/Writing
- Sports Medicine
- Theatre Arts
- Weaving

Classes can usually be arranged on any subject area you may be interested
in for your students. Individualized programs are coordinated for your
school and costs vary according to the number of students attending,
the number of classes offered, class time duration and the subjects
offered.
