Precollegiate
Programs reaches 2,000 youth each
year with its array of academic enrichment
and leadership programs.
Summer Opportunities Include:
- Summer Academies – funded by a grant from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the summer academies offer a unique learning experience at no cost to the student.
Academies are offered to students entering grades eight through twelve.
- Horizons
Unlimited - a one-week intensive program for academically gifted and talented youth who enter grades 6-8 in the fall.
- Mini
College -offering many academic
enrichment activities for students in grades one through
six.
- ACT Test Preparation - to help ensure each student’s performance on the ACT test is an accurate measure of his or her acquired knowledge and skills in the content areas.
New for Summer 2011:
- Oklahoma Mesonet Weather Camp - students entering grades 7-9 have the unique opportunity to study with the Oklahoma Mesonet at the National Weather Center in Norman. Weather Camp Brochure
